'God doesn't hate anyone'

That's his whole deal, he loves everyone, come on, it's not that hard of a concept.

I was raised in a die-hard Christian home, though I don't identify myself as one; and each time I've ever been to church (the majority of my childhood, about twelve years), when they were talking about homosexuals, they would say it's wrong, but the word 'hate' wasn't ever brought up. They would say it could be fixed, which may or may not be true, I don't think so, but hey. When they would talk about other religions, they would talk about how it 'doesn't please God,' and other things of that nature, but again, 'hate' was never given out.
Maybe I was given the wrong parts of the Bible to read, but I think all the 'hate' he gave out in the First Testament were all dismissed when Jesus died for our sins, right?

whether he exists or not, it's up to each person, That's true.

It's only people who tell he does love only certain people.
Because -interpretation- in some countries and places is so damn wrongly done.

Christians says God created us all.
And what I know about creating (own characters ect.)
is that each one is important, and that they all have part of me,
no matter what they are. (and I have SO MANY characters that really are...veeeery interesting.)

Well if that's so,
it means he have created
rapists
child-abusers
poor people
murderers, everyone!
and just like I have designed/created/made my own OCs, he surely loves his creations.
No matter how wicked or sick they are from their mind.
No matter what is their sexuality, or what in they believe.

Just like mother who gives birth to the child - raises him, takes care of him, watches over him ect... If he turns out to be a killer, the mother won't stop loving him. No matter what he does - he's her child, not no'one else's. Of course she can be thrilled and stuff of all the things, being sad and fall to the world of depression, but still. She won't stop loving her son, or daughter.
And why she should?
She made him/her, and that's it.
It's the same thing with your god. it won't change.

Only humans change the story and words and what books tell. Only us.
and you know how crooked we can get.

Also, note that even if I say this all: I'm not a Christian or don't believe in these things. I don't believe there is anybody out there. Or if there is, it surely isn't god.

But I decided to tell from your perspective (or at least tried) because I found it more simple to write :XD:
After all it isn't religion's fault that some people are bad. It just is. It doesn't care. it doesn't have physical form so...
why to hate something that just is?

and yes: I know this might be messy, that you people maybe don't get what I'm trying to say, but hey, at least I tried :D
just felt like taking a part of things XD

Well it's kind of hard for a fictional character to hate anybody...

In all seriousness though, no.
The god character hates humanity.
He LOVES his little creations, but humanity as a whole? He thinks we are slaves.

As for the whole "died for our sins" thing, that doesn't count. The "son" character himself said that the old testament laws still apply.

Well it's true.

But he does hate what we "do"... note the word "do".

And even in Revelations he will condemn those who have rebelled against him.

The thing about forgiveness, you try to stop doing the thing you're apologizing for.

Thank you SO much for making this!!

I am a Christian, but I also support and accept myself firmly as bisexual with a growing preference for the same sex. I don't want to follow anyone that hates people for something they can't change, and I don't think God would ever hate you for that, especially if they made you that way to begin with. Jesus said love was the most important, above all other things. So thank you! It's so nice to see other people that believe this way!

(Loving) fathers don't hate their children when they make a mistake. They are disappointed, but in the end they still love their child. It's kind of like God's love, and why we call him father.

Well, you know? that's actually right, some things I said before were erroneous such as "God hates the sin but not the sinner" that's not in the Bible so I apologize for using that argument :) but something is true, and ir is that God isn't something or someone us, as humans, can understand.

But the fact that it's in the Bible makes it true for me and according to the Bible it's a sin and if the Bible comes up to be 100% true (I believe it is but some doesn't) then the law against homosexuality will be applied, no matter people believe in it or not, such as gravity, if it exists no matter what you think, it will always affect you.

But if it came to the case that it isn't tue and life just ends after we die...welp I lost nothing :D (Big Grin)

If you write a letter, who writes it, you or the pen?

Psalm 45:1

a pen can't write things its not sentient

and what are you trying to say with that verse? All you're doing is quoting things out of context with no explanation.

Exactly: you write the letter, not the pen.

In that verse, David describes his tongue (speaking) as the pen of a writer (God).
God authored David's Psalms (which are part of the Bible fyi), even though David physically wrote them down.

Same goes for the rest of the Bible.
God authored it, man physically wrote it.

1 Thessalonians 2:13
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

See, what you're doing, and what others make the mistake of doing, is taking the bible literally, when it is easy to interpret it different ways.

Like a verse you linked me before, that person believed he was inspired by God and David believes that he is a tool of God

I think what you fail to realise is that humans aren't perfect, and assuming they "translated" (or wrote whatever you want to call it) God's word correctly is sort of silly. And that people all experience God differently, as there a many different POVs in the Bible. So taking certain verses from one person, and calling it fact, is silly

It's very weird though, what I get is that in the old testament there was this thing about DEATH TO THIS!! PUNISHMENT!! DEATH TO THAT!! and stuff but after Jesus it's all "GOD FORGAVE US! BECAUSE HE LOVES EVERYONE, GOD WILL FORGIVE IF YOU REPENT!"
I was taught God loves everyone, as imperfect as we are, and we should do good for everyone regardless of who or what they are IDK why people would stick to the other side of the spectrum.

I remember there was this old priest that once asked the crowd in the church in a sunday "Do you think gay couples should be allowed to marry? Do you think they should be allowed to adopt kids?" then she litterally yelled "YES!!! YES!! THEY TOTALLY SHOULD!!" and then he started to explain stuff. That was years ago and I don't remember entirely what he said, but it was awsome.
That was an awsome old man (still is)

What about the Bible saying God hated Esau? (Romans 9:13) I'm not attacking you, I am a Christian and I would agree with you, but I really don't know how should I understand that verse then. If you explain, I'll be glad. c:

I've seen a stamp on here that said, "God loves everyone, except...." I can't remember who all were mentioned. I believe Catholics and homosexuals, and maybe even atheists were involved. I'll openly say I'm a devout Christian, and while I don't entirely agree with homosexuality and athiesm, that stamp made me absolutely sick. God DOES NOT hate anyone.

Whenever I see anything that says, "God loves everyone, except..." I go away from it in disgust. Unfortunately, some people, including so-called "Christians," or especially the Westboro Baptist Church (true lunatics), seem to believe this is true, yet it's so far from being so. These people who say they are men and women of God while they are being hateful are putting a bad name to those who truly are loving and kind, just as Jesus wanted. God loves everyone, and if He hated, He would have never sent Jesus in the first place.

I was going to make a stamp about this myself, but you beat me to it, and I'm darn glad you did. It's nice to some agnostics/non-believers sticking up for Christians, even if it's only by a slight amount. Thank you.

You're correct.  We cannot claim to be true Christians if we hate any of his creations even after knowing that we're supposed to love our neighbors.

The Westboro Baptist Church is actually made up of lawyers, so you would think that they would be more intelligent.  But their knowledge went to waste because of what they do.  I think that intelligence doesn't depend on knowledge, but it depends on how one uses it.
